Hi,need to Know if is possible to release the handbreak from inside to get the whale tail out of the car.
Possible or not?
I know the way to do that from underneath.but hope for a easier way to do that.

No, got to do it from the adjuster on the HANDBRAKE cable.

Just to confirm Mr Jenks. I am currently stripping and rebuilding one of my Griffs and there really is no other way of doing it apart from slackening the cable from underneath. Pete

I have my handbrake adjusted for a three notch lock. When I had my car re-trimmed this year we did not slacken the handbrake at all! My trimmer said he managed to carefully manoeuvre the 'T' piece around to get it off and back when done! Regards, Pete

Will try that Pete. Like taking off manifold without dropping exhaust and starter motor. It can be done !

Pete, What’s a three notch lock? I want one as I've never managed to remove my precat's whale tail without first slackening off the hand brake cable from underneath.

Thanks all of you. And Pete,I will try it first like you told. But if my handbrake is full locked the lever is more horizontally than vertical.
