Need to replace the black foam tape behind the rear (backlit) number plate. Any idea what it is? Tried car spares shops and no joy. Draught excluder tapes are all white or brown.

Bought this from Halfords in order to attach a side repeater to my Mercury as the first stuff that I bought from a car parts place was rubbish.

Attached it a month ago and it's still stuck on rock solid.

Cheers, I'll take a look at those. I think it's only there to seal the light in so I'm ideally looking for a single sided adhesive.
Started one job this morning and it turned into three others.... smile

If you have difficulty getting anything let me know and I can drop some in the post for you. I have and use industrial double sided foam tapes that are perfect for that application (the are designed to bond panels onto vehicles. Regards, Pete
