Looks like i had my post removed! I don't think I was shaming a particular vehicle but when the underside is like an old ships anchor the price was a tad to high IMO anyway I have a good budget of 15k to find a good solid car as I said I am fussy lol,
And no disrespect to any previous posts on herev.

Hi Ste,
Not removed, your words are just buried in the middle of my comment that you quoted.

Wants to have had some work done on it as well at that price, just my opinion
So that does this mean that you believe this Griff. is overpriced? If you do then I would suggest you are well out of touch.
Well that car looks remarkably like this one

So unless it's on SOR, which even if it is the dealer will still want his cut, then it would look as though it was over priced.

I sympathise with you, I remember when I was looking many many years ago....... originally wanted a 500 but could only afford an early one, test drove a few and issues were immaculate condition ment rotten carpets and stone chipped to buggery, and I hated the drive chain shunt which was caused by the higher lifting cam. Choose to lower my sights, at the time thinking bigger is better and after some reading I realised the 4.3 was hidden jem. Got offered a car in red, not on my list, at top dollar (more then 500's I I'd been looking at) but fell in love when I saw it... got taken for a test drive and bought it.... that was some 10-11 years ago....... it must be harder now with the cars 10 years older.

But mine now has gaz mono tubes, TVR Power engine rebuild, T5 gear box, MBE ECU /coil pack management system, ACT's shop of add on's, fibereon splitter, new carpets/dash/roof, split rims refurbed twice and adonised last time to save on mad cleaning regime..... oddly I've done my best to keep it looking standard lol... don't trying adding the costs hehe

Well funny you should mention this one i have had been swapping a few emails with this company today car looks great but chassis outriggers very messy I would have to replace them I have made a trade offer on the car that's no warranty etc for well under that hooverbiggrin
But still not sure of the colour ? I do like the red one but that would have to be a tad under 9k as the milage is 85000 and I bet the heads have not been off ? So I would have to do a engine re build to justify the costs !

Clean bill of health = no rot holes but rusty underseal flakey and a few rusty fasteners, maybe it's me being fussy but if it was mine I would have ground fettled and cleaned the steel with a wire brush before outing on the underseal etc ??

Just remember guys that I reported on this car some time ago, I am sure they have had it at least four years, and when I tried to buy it the sales director was not very cooperative regarding the price or jobs that required attention! On the original advert they very cleverly did not show the neasr side of the vehicle, probably because the door had some damage, which they were not prepared to put right. He however was very pleasant and welcoming, but I guess that was when he thought I was going to buy it at their silly asking price. The car however is very pretty in the flesh and a rare colour.
