Your Turbo AJP engine by ICE and a modified chassis by Chris & Ged would make an awesome TVR.
I look forward to that day.

Have I read somewhere that the 6.0L Wildcat engines were made from specially cast blocks made by Rover? Am I right in thinking there isn't enough metal in the standard block to take the bore out to 4" (101.6mm)?

Not 100% sure of the exact differences but when I got some bits for racer engine off Ian Richardson before he retired there were several 'turbo' blocks sat that looked noticably beefier than standard! Sure thats what is used for the bigger versions of his engines. I know Eales was.after some stuff but think Roland at ACR got a lot too.

The Wildcat business has been bought by ACR as Ian Richardson the founder retired.
ACR now own the rights to Wildcat heads and are now producing Wildcat heads.

The 6-litre block were specially cast in limited numbers. They are different to the standard blocks.
6 fixings per cylinder compared to the standard 4 fixings. More material around each cylinder liner to allow the block to be machined up to a 4" (101.6mm) bore.
Ian machined the blocks with different modifications dependant on the customer's intended use, so not all 4" (101.6mm) blocks are the same.

Chevy bore patterns and grand national spec heads. If only the masses could have afforded it. Tiz a pity that rover couldn't have done this for us.

Do the wildcat heads fit on to standard blocks .. The RV8 heads are the Hercules heel which hold it back from unleashing more power .

They're brothers & both Greek.

Will we ever see this from a Wildcat Rover on a UK engine dyno as there's zero on You Tube and below zero with a TA headed Rover however I do believe their heads have only recently started to come off the production line.

Don't know if you guys are interested but my SEAC is now up and running with wildcat heads.

It's a 5.3 with 256 race cam and 48mm TB's with home made 4 into one mainfolds

Been quite a delay getting it running as I ran out of ideas as to why it would not run right. The TB's
would get stuck due to such a lot of pop back through the very straight inlets. Turns out to be a cam
timing issue but also due to me not knowing what a good cam installation should look like.

Picture below shows the cam spacer we made. It does not show the fact we have to machine the heads of the bolts holding in the cam or the light machining on the back of the cloyes cam wheel.

I have also loaded up a short video on to youtube of it running on an initial map - its a pretty rough map but actually sounds a lot better in the flesh as it were than on the video. The pop back on the overrun would have people diving for cover in Paris.
