In response to that other thread...

Go on, most of the other TVR sections have tinkering threads - post up what you've done in/next to your garage.
No "I got some peas out of the freezer" or "Pulled the wheelie bins out" thanks smile

I've put new wheels'n'tyres on mine...

ha ha ha

Nice wheels Andy.

I pulled the head off a chicken sorrybiggrin a Land Rover 200tdi engine I'm playing with. What started as a "just drop it in" purchase is developing into a "while I have it apart I might as well" job.
The Griffith is sitting there happily peering through its cover and watching me.

got mine out of the barn and washed the dust off , long term project as needs the chassis and wishbones refurbing / replacing to get thru an mot. Has had the cam replaced to get engine running sweetly just before the last mot ran out. How it passed the last one is a miracle ? ( done before I brought it I hasten to add ) Unfortunately a long way down the list of projects up to now but may reshuffle them this year.

Haha. Well, I must say Ian, you certainly reignited some posting....ha laugh

I fitted one of these to the Griff yesterday. My old Pioneer screen kept flickering. Now have bluetooth and handsfree, all very up to date...

I also raised the Nitrons last weekend, due to grounding out on speed humps. It sits much better now with a bit of a raise.

Changed the wheels & tyres back to the road ones. Softened back all the shocks by 3 clicks as I recon they're a bit harsh with the new springs.

Tonight I took the injectors out of my 200tdi engine, and I started spraying the sun visors.
Both Land Rover jobs, but you didn't say there are rules...

I reckon the front of this engine has had a muddy bath at some time

Stupid stupid technology.
First of all it posts the ruddy picture upside down when it displays it right way up on the iPad, then it posts the ruddy thing twice just to double my embarrassment.
I'm just glad of spell check as it seems I can't spell embarassment [sic]

Glovebox cig lighter socket for sat nav, and a hardwired accumate cable, both attached to the new Odyssey PC925 battery which leaves loads of room for the ECU and it's rats nest.
Hard core Griff mods! None of this fancy Chimaera supercharging stuff here thank you very much biggrin

I like the power socket idea Andy.
How did you wire it?
Did you put curly wire on the back to avoid it cracking over time?

Just opened up the garage doors with next door neighbour (who as it turned out is a bike/car nut), response was brilliant, "Oh my God" he said, "A TVR", "and it's a Chimaera... that's just absolutely..." Oh, hang on, sorry guys, just realised I'm posting on the wrong thread/forum... really sorry about that, must pay more attention whistle
