My first consumption result is pretty disappointing - 20.34 mpg! Most of the fuel tank was used at 40mph+ so I was expecting a better mpg figure. frown

I was having some problems filling it up on my first attempt so I just hope that the first time it wasn't full and this has messed up the first result.

Only worked it out once a couple of years ago, over a hundred miles or so, mostly motorway around 70 - 80 mph and a bit of town driving thrown in, came out at 19mpg. Not bothered again since....

I averaged about 28mpg on a ring trip a few years ago, (not on the ring of course) in my 4.6.

Averaged 5mpg at Bedford Autodrome last Monday with my 5.5!

Yes it is (probably slightly more litres as it is something like 4.54x litres to a gallon). I keep track of the fuel consumption on all my cars. Everyone needs a hobby (yes, I'm sad too).

Just multiply your litres by 0.22 for a quicky calc. = gallons.

My track day tank brimmed at 40 litres x 0.22 = 8.80 gallons.

43 miles done on track = 4.89mpg, simple!

Slightly confusing as the fuel tank is supposed to hold 57 litres. Where did you put the rest?

Standard,if there is such a thing in TVR terms,5.0ltr, apart from sleeving the silencer.

I managed 36mpg going from East Sussex to Norfolk by driving like Miss Daisy driving

Conversley going East Sussex to Le Mans Classic in 2008 I got 9mpg evil. After both myself and the passenger suffered neck strain I now realise why F1 drivers have such large neck muscles hehe

If that is accurate (i.e. you reset the counter last time you filled up and this is representative of the milegae you got after filling up again), I am very impressed with you and your car!

Owner of a pre-cat 4ltr I often return 30mpg on a motorway run between 70 & 80mph. Not bad for an old un thumbup

I used an online conversion thingamajig but even so, I'm reasonably happy with that. I did a run to Bristol Avenue and was 'pressing on' so that MPG ain't too bad (is it ?).
