HI lads need some help again ihave not had the car on the road for 2years now got it passed MOT taxed insured takes it out for a drive now it seem i have loss of power strong smell of fuel it feels like it is only firing on 4 pistons it running lumpy i have just put a new AFM on so its not that any pointers as to what it could be thanks paul ,i have just ordered some HT Leads and Coil but i do not think it is them but i have got to rule them out thanks again paul
I had a similar thing a while back, when only one bank of injectors was firing.
It turned out to be a poor connection in the ECU plug/socket. As the passenger footwell can get a bit damp not surprising.
Pin 11 feeds one bank of four and Pin 13 the other.
You can check if the injectors are pulsing by inserting a Noid device in between the injector and its connector, but you do need the correct connector on the Noid for this to work. Sealey used to market Noids.
