Handbrake cable
Discussion
Does anyone else have a handbrake cable with the outer coated in plastic?
I've got a new complete cable and it doesn't have a plastic coating.
But my old one not only has a black plastic coating bit a lump of rubber pipe cable tied to it too for where it goes over the diff and through the chassis by the fuel line.
I am curious if the old one was original and the new one is odd, or if the old one was from something else and the new one is how it should be,

The gen Ford one (Sierra) always had the black outer coating sleeve but I have seen the naked ones you speak of Ian I would imagine pattern ones/generic are going to be luck of the draw if its covered or not I renewed mine with a gen Ford one about 5 years ago I has had it in stock for 15 years a spare for a Capri rear disc conversion that was never needed
