The general consensus is ride height should be 145 front and 155-160 rear taken from either the corner plates on the outriggers or under the edge of the wishbone nearest the outrigger. Should be able to get 2 fingers in between top of the tyre and the arch and it should look angled down at the front, but obviously not much.
I've tried lowering mine a bit but keep getting caught out with speed bumps and crests. You can get the round sump plugs on e-bay now and I'd be tempted to get a magnetic one if you can.

Hi Storm, my one is a March 98 registered Griff so has the pearl grey ( cream ) powder coated chassis ( which can rot badly due to the powder coat lifting / trapping moisture ) but fortuneatly my one has had an oil leak for ages which has protected the centre chassis rails very well, as the oil has run back along the chassis.
I wiped the old oil off and most of the centre of the chassis looks really good.
I used a wire wheel on an angle grinder to deal with a few small rust blisters, ( mainly under the exhaust under tray which I removed ), then etch primer and then a coat of rattle can white.
I gave the outriggers a rattle can spray of black Waxoyl underseal, which will give some protection until I have the £ funds to replace the left one. The right outrigger is still solid, so again I coated it with the Waxoyl.
I wiped the old oil off and most of the centre of the chassis looks really good.

Good to know nuetral3, thanks - I am in the process of stablising the small areas of rust (dotted all) over with Dinitrol until I start stripping components in the future.
This has a stadard hex sump plug so will look out for the round one FFG, thank you. It also looks like the small hump where the sump plug goes has indeed been lightly scraped at sometime in the past. Will watch out for this.

Re your sump pan, I had owned my one for just a day and was following a 
transit which was loaded with scrap, when suddenly it started depositing scrap off the back, a large steel cylinder was amongst this and I couldn't avoid it, there was a bang and a scrape and the object disapeared in my rear view mirror. As a precaution we got her up on the ramp which revealed a dent accross the base of the sump and a scrape on the bell housing.
Fortunately no other damage was visible. It's been there for 5 years now !
