As above, I've never used it, so I'm thinking of taking it off. I'm guessing that without the air con pulleys etc, it will build revs quicker / be more responsive and release a little more power, plus remove some weight.

Anyone done this and what's involved ?

Would save some weight, but unless the clutch on the compressor is activated and the system is running its not consuming power from the engine. So not saving anything there.

Thanks rigga, but the air con compressor pulley is on the heavy / large side so I want rid. But it looks like the fuel is routed into the air con compressor ?

Yep, fuel cooled (if compressor is engaged). But rerouting the fuel-line direct as with non-aircon cars is easily done and should not affect performance or anything else.

Removal of the aircon system will require the system to be de-gassed which is not a DIY job unless you have the correct equipment and certs etc, once this is done .....

With the Aircon system you have 3 fuel hoses

1) Feed from the pump to the fuel cooler rail

2) Output from the fuel cooler rail to the injector rail

3) Return Line from injector rail back to the tank

Once the aircon has been deleted you'll only need the feed from the pump to the injector rail & the return back to the tank

Pic below (Hose on the left is the feed, Hose on the right is the return)

Pulley arrangement is like this

If you're still thinking about removal, I'm in need of the rad as mine is leaking
