Master cylinder cover
Discussion
I posted this on the general gassing forum, Julian at Fiberon will make them if he can take a mold from the original, anyone know where it is now, and more importantly would the owner be up for letting a mold be taken.

Very happy to cooperate for Fiberon to take moulds as long as I can have originals back. Pete
Have a look on page 5 for current status and where I left it:

I am also very interested in buying one of Fiberon's vented bonnets keeping the original as a spare.

I can see you have your hands full! It would be great if between you and Julian they could be
made they would be so much neater and more practical than the originals
eff, if you do the groundwork, do the intro and e-mail me, I can have the covers in the post on Monday to Julian. I am particularly interested in him making up a cover for the clutch master cylinder and getting rid of those nasty smears of silicon.made they would be so much neater and more practical than the originals

Although its a chim the covers are identical and its the same principle.I made an Ali cover and anealed the Ali to form the cover to the shape of the original. I purchased some seals from seals direct and bonded them to the cover and the opening of the master cylinder hole and after 3 years no wet feet or water ingress. It is held in place with stainless steel panhead allen head bolts. No messy silicone needed.

Love the cover for the brake fluid reservoir Mark. Did you make it? Can you do another?
Hi lAN they are easy to make just time consuming with rubbing down and polishing, all you need is a small piece of 0.8mm aluminium sheet 300mm square in T zero state which is really soft to form should be enough you can form it with a nylon mallet and the original plastic cover as a pattern tto shape and form also your hands it's that soft. Have spoken to Julian and will get the master cylinder cover, the battery/fuse box cover and the headlight cover off to him early next week (I'm away this weekend).
I also chatted about the vented bonnet, which I like a lot and should do a lot to reduce the underbonnet heat. Purists can always put the old bonnet back on, however I don't see myself selling the Griff anytime in the future anyway.
I didn't get any of your e-mails. It's a Yahoo account and usually very reliable. I'll ping you a message just to check.
