Had to replace all the CV joints...I think I'd shuffled them, with no markings to indicate which goes where...They were all good, apart from that!!

Plus, I just purchased a new cam from Dom...Kent TVR51,
Whilst it's apart, why not?

D-O-H..!! Forgot the timing chain/sprockets irked

It is nice when parts are arriving inwards and things are going back togethersmile I assume you've painted the inlet manifold and it's not just blasted?

Yes, Simon...It's been a lot of blasting, de-greasing, etc. And, yes, it's painted in VHT paint

Sweet, Is that red crackle finish? If so, did you do it yourself or send it away somewhere?

Wow, looks stunning. Almost a shame to put the body on.

I couldn't resist placing my new bonnet on, whilst dropping the body back on to check for ease of refit, firstly with a scruffy body.!!

Paul,

looks fantastic - a great job. If you are going to sprint or hillclimb it may I suggest you swap the frontlower and upper wishbones for the stronger tubular Tuscan racer ones. You will find with stiff suspension that if you use the kerbs the standard ones will bend. Much easier to do now than later.

John Reid sells them.

when you put the body back on did you have to angle the nose down to stop it fouling the upper chassis rails ?

Pretty much...there was a fair bit of wriggling involved, and at one point, the nose was trapped BELOW the front rail...A lesson learned, and a system formed, for the painted body!

Hi Paul, where did you find the 17" multispokes? I'm contemplating doing somehting similar to my 4.5BV, thinking SP12s which look nice, or maybe being more 'original' and finding some 18/17 multispokes like you have done.
