...I asked for zinc, as I thought the same as you...The people that coat marine equipment, advised me that aluminium has better heat resisting properties, and better saline resistance...Plus; they also said that MOST tubular structures will warp, with galvanising, regardless of pressure relief...No difference in process or price, for zinc...

Just bog standard Rustoleum for me which got a few scrapes putting the diff back in.
I had a few doubts about how easy it would be which were confirmed this afternoon,
bit of a sequence, which I was getting wrong until it became obvious the front mounts were going to have to be last.
Handbrake cable looked ok so put that back too.

Well spotted Frank!
Can anyone advise on washers/spacers for the rear upper wishbone to upright? There's about a 5mm gap atm

I have used DustBuster epoxy mastic on wishbones that have been shotblasted it adheres well but I think the idea is that it is not rock hard but has some flex to stop stone chips. Also check the tin is it mixed 50/50 by weight or volume I seem to remember weighing it out

Many thanks for this, explains it clearly.
No surprise on stumbling upon something that looks straight forward and finding anything but.
