N/S wing mirror leak

Got a nasty leak through what appears to be the base of the wing mirror base. Is there a seal as it goes through the door that could have perished does any one know. Or what seals the mirror base to the door skin ?

Hi there, rubber seals are easy to make. When stripping off my mirrors prior to the respray I made some rubber seals. You need a washer punch, if not a careful hand with a small craft knife. I have rubber sheet suitable for this, let me know by PM and I will drop a piece in thepost to make a couple of seals. All the best, Pete
