Those were the ones i wanted, as they look great on a black griff, but they can't be sourced anymore.

Yours looks like it already has the GSi lights to me, the standard cavalier indicator lenses are far more orange: Those were the ones i wanted, as they look great on a black griff, but they can't be sourced anymore.

If you do decide to change them and the old set are undamaged, I'd be interested.
There is a smoked set of rear lights in the classifieds

That is an idiot price.
You can source these lights in uk for about 60 GBP an easily wrap them dark yourself.
Nevertheless, decided to go for a swap. Don't think I'll wrap them dark because the headlights are also behind clear glass and keeping appearance in harmony.
Thanks for all the replies and suggestions. The Cavalier lights will be stocked when I might want to go back original.
I'll keep you posted.
Regards Ronald.

I have always thought that the standard rear lights spoiled tha car . There is not a straight line or right angle on the car apart from those rear lights . This is what I had on my Griff previously . I have lent the moulds to someone and they never came back but it is not to hard to replicate .
I would've said standard lenses. [certainly over the Lexus type] But if going modified then this is the best I've seen Love the 'frenching' and having them hipped slightly looks fab.None of the pepper pot style rear lights work for me, be it the SE or any of the other conversions. The pepper pots were simply an attempt by TVR to update an older design in line with the T cars. Something manufacturers often do on run-out models. The point about the original light assembly is that it is inset into the tail and that ties up nicely with the scalloped doors and relives the bulk of the rear end. The front has the bonnet lid lapped under the nose, the middle the scalloped leading edge of the doors and the tail the recessed rear lamps. The whole design is subtle yet entire. There was, and remains, no need to mess with it.

+1Even I agree, that the original Griff lights are the best subtle answer.
I have a late Chimaera, with the 4 separate LR rear lights, like the Griff SE but behind a smoked cover, which I much prefer to the early Chim lights, which look like the Griff lights, yet I dislike the Griff SE lights - IMHO they just look wrong.
Oddly, I quite like the Mito lights on the O P's dark car. Neat design I guess.
