My newly arrived Griff 500 ('96) is already annoying the neighbours; well at least the alarm is.

It has gone off twice today despite, so my neighbour says, him not having touched it.

Is there anyway to reduce the sensitivity of the alarm?

Obviously if someone is trying to hoist it on to a low-loader I want it to go off, but not if someone creates 'wind turbulence' by walking close to but not brushing against it.

I believe it is the original alarm system.

TIA.

Is this with the hood up or down?

You can de-activate the interior motion sensors by holding the key fob down for 4 seconds (3 flashes).

Hope this helps.

Thanks Alex.

Roof up.

It may well be that the microwave detection is too great, and picks up close movement but not touching. Weird, as with the alarm armed I pushed down hard on the rear wing and nothing. I will probably have to play with the microwave sensitivity setting. Now that I know where the circuit board is and how to access it, I can probably play around with that over the weekend in much less time than last night.

This morning, I tried, as suggested, holding down the key fob for about 4 seconds. However, I must have set off some form of panic alarm as the alarm started sounding! Not sure I will be trying that again at 06:30! I have the HF Solutions 3-button fob (I don't use the old Meta fob), so may have pressed the wrong button!?!?

Anyway, I am speaking with Dave from HF Solutions today - he sorted me out with the boot release fob - for more guidance.

Thanks for the help.
