Hi Does anyone know when they changed from the Orange type to the later Orange and black type. or did they always have the later style due to clearances.
Just trying to work out want kind of demand there would be for an after market aluminum one.

I've made a prototypes of each type anyway.

Prices are on the TVR buy/Sell on facebook, I can't compete on price with the ebay ones, as I make them by hand, plus like to spend time to make sure they have a nice finish.

The later styles ones are a lot more complex and take me 3 hours to make, also the ebay ones won't fit the later P38 rocker covers. hence asking if anyone knows if the Griff's Chimm's all used the later Black/Orange P38 style or did they also use the SD1 style Orange ones, as per image.

My 1992 pre cat Griff has the TVR cast rocker covers and has the orange SD1 cap.

Sorry not sure about the later serps.

My 92 precat came with a horrible orange oil filler cap. Soon swapped it with a much nicer one from Leven-

As far as I'm aware PPC in Melton Mowbray bought Leven some time ago when the original owners wanted to retire.

This is the newer style cap that I'm trying to work out when they started using them.

I think it was the Griffith SE's (2001..on?) that took up the Yellow/Black filler cap. Along with the rocker covers to Grey at this point.

All previous Griffith 500 had Purple rocker covers, with the Orange filler cap. At least, that's what I reckon...someone might know for sure...

Man, what a pig ugly thing that black/yellow cap is. I thought the orange one was bad enough.

I have a TVR/Mobil1 engraved/embossed cap I picked up off ebay donkeys years ago and I'd never go back to the orange one.

Keep up the good work making these.

Good old TVR...haha - so maybe a 2000/2001 production change over..wobble

Mines a 2000 (W) Griff 500, non SE - but last of the 'normal' run outs like yours. Mine has purple rockers and mechanical counter. Although, I also have the same filler cap like Barreti now.
