If there are a few people interested it might be worth putting together a group buy and see if Dave at S&D is willing to do a discount for a run of roofs?
To be fair S&D, there has been a lot of work that has gone into making this roof, R&D, creating the moulds and refining the production process for what is essentially a very low production bespoke product for an already quite niche market. I know we all view value differently but for me I think it is good value for what is a good quality product.
I can imagine the demand for this would be fairly high. My Tuscan boot has excellent capacity and the roof then sits on top of it all. The Griff on the other hand...To be fair S&D, there has been a lot of work that has gone into making this roof, R&D, creating the moulds and refining the production process for what is essentially a very low production bespoke product for an already quite niche market. That makes perfect sense, l suppose the more they make the cheaper the 2 piece roof will become?

Anyway it looks and sounds to be a well engineered solution so get some pics up Matthew when it's done.
Another interested...

I can confirm it is well worth the money and great OEM quality. Best to speak to David directly for requirements.
I had mine trimmed in the matching Portland Grey and it sets it off perfectly.

I had a 1990 vintage S2 with factory split roof, 20 years old when I got the car, mine didn't leak.
I really liked it, sometimes the weather isn't quite full roof off compliant, it was so easy to remove one panel and in winter allows that open top feel without freezing your ears off and the heater keeps the cab warm, enough to use on longer journeys.

Looks a very good solution - I've clipped the corner of the seal on my roof on the bootlip and damaged it as it's such a fiddle getting it in and out.
I was going to suggest it'd look better to have the lip on the other half of the roof so you don't see the seal so much from the drivers seat, but they'll have done it that way round so the drivers half is removed first.
Realistically I suspect it'll be a bit pricey, and I have just got a new pack of jigsaw blades....

Dave/ Bob all good stuff again.
In a hypothetical world where the difference in price between a Surrey and a split is £600.
If you bought an untrimmed Surrey to sort the fit.
Would
A) it cost £600 to sort
B) which one would you choose, perfect fit Surrey or perfect fit split
