BREMEBO BRAKES

You go on track and overheat a Ds2500 (easy) and tell everyone that they behave the same at all temperatures.
Bow to your superior knowledge of course. However, I won the TVRCC Speed Championship Class B (for RV8/AJP/SP6 engined cars) in 2014 & 2015, won Classic Marques MX5 class 2016 & in my experience in those championships plus numerous trackdays have tried many different pads & the DS2500 proved to be the best at providing consistent performance.edit- the thing with sprinting & hillclimbing is that you need the brakes to work on the first & last corners, which is why the DS2500 is so effective.

Wrong.
The pad that I use is totally consistent regardless of temperature - Ferodo DS2500. You really do talk a load of garbage.
Garbage, an American word that's not even part of the English vocabulary so I'll ignore your abusive statement on the grounds you must hail from across the pond which in turn means you currently have a lot more to worry about than brakes. The pad that I use is totally consistent regardless of temperature - Ferodo DS2500. You really do talk a load of garbage.
To be 100% clear my comments are merely designed to highlight the completely inarguable fact that the correct way to uprate your brakes is to fit better hardware (calipers/discs), rather than attempting to do so by installing track day pads in the standard calipers.
For your information I have used Ferodo DS2500 pads and am pleased to confirm they perform very well, I can also confirm from direct experience they do however make more dust than a typical road compound pad. See, there's your compromise right there, you may well be happy to accept this dusting compromise but many others may not.
More dust and road wheels that go black in short order sounds like an insignificant issue but in practice it can actually become very annoying indeed if you value a well presented car, increased dusting is definitely one of the compromises that come with the DS2500 pad. But there is a better way, because the facts are if you fit this excellent Brembo conversion using genuine Brembo road pads you would definitely have given yourself a far superior performing brake setup than standard mono piston slider calipers just fitted with Ferodo DS2500 pads.
And by doing it the Brembo way you're not only implementing the properly engineered solution to better brakes, you're also avoiding the increased dust of the DS2500 pad and the further undesirable characteristics that typically come with other track day pads.
That's not garbage (or rubbish to use the correct queens English), that's fact.

Close but no cigar Gasbag, my work takes me to the USA 4-5 times per month so please forgive my poor use of language. Oh by the way, how's the situational awareness? Still blocking people in parking spaces?Re the brakes, had a very useful chat with Carbon Lorraine brakes who offer some good pad solutions one of which I purchased.

But more apposite: gasbag, NOUN, A person who talks or posts excessively about trivial things.
