Is there an obvious route to run a wires from the battery to the engine bay?

I want to fit a very loud secondary horn and it pulls nine amps so needs a relay and a direct 12v from the battery etc smile

Cheers

You can take it from the alternator. Or there is a breather pipe for the battery that can usually take a cable.

^^For either of these choices^^

Be sure to add an in-line fuse, I's suggest 15amps, as close to the power source as possible

or if you want to run it from the fuse board, you can run the wires over the passenger side inner wheel arch following the same route as the headlight wiring loom. the access hole goes through from the left hand sidewall of the passenger footwell about the same level at the glove box and forwards of it by 6 inches.
With the headlight pod out (or inspection hatch open) i ran a length of green gardening wire down through this void so i could pull all the new wires i needed through.

^^fuse box, access to the engine bay by removing the glovebox, you'll then see the access between inner & outer wing
