I have got to replace one of the small green LEDs on the lower dash panel. I am aware that the longer leg on my new Led is the positive connection but how do I determine which 'blob' on the circuit board I should connect it to? Each 'blob' contact on the board appears to have a narrow and a wide circuit leading to it.

The LED to be replaced is D1 in the picture below. The narrow circuit is on top and the wider one out of sight underneath.

Would be very helpful if someone could tell me which was pos. and which neg.

Thanks in advance.

Can you post a picture of the whole circuit board and its connection to the feed wiring?

Unsolder the old one and offer it 12v and see which way round it lights

Surely you have tested this LED PCB with a meter, the meter you use for testing will show the polarity

Agreed, if it works it is correct way round, if not reverse!
