I am a new Griffith owner and am requesting your suggestions on TVR, specifically pre-cat Griffith parts and carpets.
Who are the usual suppliers? Some I have found are TVR Parts, Racetechdirect, and Powers. Any more?
As for carpets I can only find Coverdale and Lakewell. I am thinking of the mid range Coverdale set. Any thoughts? I will be fitting them myself.
I am looking for standard parts right now, rear discs, pads, starter motor.... general major service items.
Are there any (decent) TVR breakers?

I also need a bonnet prop, mine is missing.

Thank you

Hi and welcome to TVR ownership!

I'm afraid I own a "lowly" Chimaera but can maybe help with one of your questions.
depending on where you are you may want to try Central TVR in the midlands.

They make there own carpet sets to OE specs and whilst I've not needed one they are good quality and not unreasonably priced.

Hope that helps and good luck with the car...

Regards Chris.

Come on Chris Chimaera's are not lowly at all, you have a fast V8 convertable with a massive boot, perfect for touring in. spin

Good morning Geeman. Have a look in the parts list wiki at the top of this forum, good info there to get you started.

I'm guessing with the US import rules, you have a precat Griffith?

You guess correct sir.
I have already trawled the wiki etc, and got the info. Very helpful. For me I will be looking for suppliers who are prepared to ship to the US with prompt service and reasonable shipping. Shipping can really hike the price, especially if it gets dragged through customs etc, but on the other side, I don't pay VAT on the parts.
The Rover V8 is reasonably well served here through Triumph TR8's and Range Rovers. I have no desire to do an LS swap over here either.
I'm reasonably handy with the spanners and plan on maintaining the car myself.
