I think mine was about £16 inc post and packing so could also do with Seasider's training too. My up and down control also spins round without stopping so if you find the part number let me know

It was the correct one so dont know why the £ difference

On my old one you could blow thru but i think the main problem could have been that the mounting plate did'nt let the locking screw on the flatted shaft line up properly I cant see how it would've ever been 100% closed. Only noticed this when all re assembled and tried blowing when closed. Have adjusted the plate and made a new hole in the valve base about 10mm from the old position (yes it was in the correct position Shawn)...

Will try tomorrow as cant this evening

Just thought I'd add something that may be useful to others.
The small potentiometers that are the feedback for the various heating and ventilation valves available from Maplins as part number UH03D at £0.31 each.#

After laying in the footwell for the best part of the day I think I'll give it a miss thanks!

All my 4 spinny shiny knobs now work. Might change the HCV just to make them more effective

What are the pots like to change? My HCV occasionally throws a spas fit and just keeps rotating I reckon any component that costs 31p has got to be worth replacing "just in case"
