Does my alarm button work properly?

Before my Meta packed up (!) it was always a bit temperamental until I realised you had to hold the button for one second. God knows why; on BMW zappers you just press the button - from any angle and from considerable range - and it works.

NB: I've thought of getting it fixed - but as the immobiliser still cuts in and the boot is inaccessible without the key, then as long as I don't keep anything valuable in the glovebox it doesn't seem to make too much difference!

Just check it doesn't invalidate your insurance though...
