Sunday night some juveniles, no doubt seeking some meaning and social motivation which our office park was unjustly just not providing, were presented with the unfair temptation of my Griff 500 just sitting there....I mean, what were they to do?
Well the little Neanderthals decided to test their motor skills by tearing the roof material away from the window side frame ( by gripping under the Velcro part and pulling away), popping down the rear fold down and taking off the roof. They then pushed the car out of the parking space for some next phase when, fortunately for me, a keen eyed passerby disturbed their play. Biggest problem is they ran off with the roof!
The material looks like it can be glued/resealed into place - has anyone ever done this? Is it as easy as I'm hoping it might be?
Also anyone know of where I could get a replacement roof (blue)?

Why not go through insurance and get a totally (all) new roof!

Do you think that a prefect colour match is just going to happen?

Of course to could always get a burgundy replacement, that way next time if you can catch them at it, the bloodstains won't show!

I hope you get it sorted soon.

I know someone with a roof & rear section going spare (off a Chim, but I guess they are the same) Needs re-covering, but cheaper than an all new one I guess... Mail me if you want details

Sorry to hear that Jimbo,

Could try some of the breakers like DouglasValley, i would personally visit this one though rather than get sent stuff IMO.

Put a wanted in the Classified section here also as i know some breakers look in here and i was contacted buy a few when after some parts.

All the best
