No, for once not the usual "runs hot" problem, a question about the electrics.

I have the later twin relays/twin fuse system for the fans.

The question is does the otter switch activate both fan relays at once, or is the second one fed off the first to give a slight delay and ease instantaneous current load?

I ask because I'm sure I can hear two distinct but close together clicks from the relays when the fans kick in which seems to imply one piggy-backs the other.

Mine are in parallel but who knows someone might of been playing. By having the fans come on at half speed first,it stops that "sinking" feeling when the both come on and draw the 40 odd amps.In fact unless you have an LED to show they have come on, you wouldnt know.

I know when mine are on because the battery amp needle drops from about 14.5 to under 13.

Is that not normal? Starts all the time!

You are quite right the needle will drop when the fans are running at full speed. Quite normal.
