I don't know if this is the same list as you guys are getting, but I found this on the internet years ago! It's alist of where parts are sourced...

Sorry, I'm not really set up for the printed word. Last time I tried to photocopy any of this I was rewarded with three chewed pages! Now have 575MB of data which consists of cerb/griff/and chimera parts list and all TSB's since 1993. Also cerb full workshop manual. I scanned it all over the weekend and it comes to 575MB in total. So I may have to rethink as I don't have anywhere near that amount of webspace.

How many pages is it and is it B & W ?
Might well be able to make it A LOT smaller than 575MB

Just to be cautious here: this material is copyright TVR and would require their permission to copy or distribute it. Buying a copy either from TVR or from Ebay does not give permission to copy and distribute, even for free. If this has not been done, then there are a lot of legal issues and liabilities.
You can still buy the parts lists from the factory BTW and they cost considerably less than the £125 odd that the Ebay seller got. The GRiff/Chimaera one cost me £40 a few years ago.

You may have a point here. I thought that a list of spare parts would be in the companies interest for car owners to have with which to order the right parts. Rather like MacDonalds putting copyright on the menus they give to customers before they order the burger.
I notice however that you 'run' the TvrBookshop website and therefore probably know more than most of us about the copyright law. I certainly won't do this if its offending someone on the site.

The situation is simple. The material is copyright TVR and you need their permission to reproduce it and/or distribute it. If you don't have that, you are breaking the law. I would suggest you consider removing any such material and stop circulating.
As the parts lists are available to buy from company and the other technical information is not on a general circulation because of several implications, I doubt if you are going to get that permission from TVR. Indeed, they are known to be very proactive in protecting their material.
I don't control their copyright but I have permisssion from TVR to use their material in the bibles and clear anything I do with them prior to publication.
Is it a help when asking for parts? Yes and no. Many of the photos are in fact incorrect and there is no correlation that you need this part to go with that part. Most dealers have the parts list so it is easy to check when ordering. The parts lists only contain the TVR part numbers and do not give any alternative sources nor cover all the various changes that have occurred. I have had them for some time and to be honest, their use is fairly limited. If owners are desperate to buy it, then it can be ordered from a dealer and comes in a nice white binder.

Sorry, ShPub effectively sat on the idea by reminding us of the copyright issue. If you read his last message, I believe he's getting permission from TVR to let you know what parts you have in your car. I also believe he owns/runs the TVR bookshop and he'll likely have something he can sell you soon.
