are the individual exhaust manifold gaskets on a 500 Griff standard items, or do they have to come from TVR
are they a difficult job to change?, and if one is blowing does it effect the performance as well as being noisy.

Had mine changed at a main dealer (now defunct) using TVR sourced gaskets. They lasted about 500 miles before blowing. Then had them replaced at Team Proactive, who source higher quality items independantly. 1000 miles later and no problems to date.

The originals on mine were horrible cork things that surprised me that they lasted so long (52000 miles).

David Batty replaced the whole lot with stainless replacements (cost about £20-25 for parts) and no problem in the last 20k+. I think they'll probably outlive the rest of the car...........
