The control on the centre panel activates a servo tucked up under the glove box area, if you look up there you will see the hot water pipe entering the cabin to the heater matrix. This servo rotates a valve which shuts off the hot water flow. I spent 10 mins ensuring that the with the panel control set to cold that the valve was fully shut, and it worked, there are a couple of white blobs of paint to show how it should be aligned and the spindle of the valve is only attached to the servo with a grub screw so can work loose allowing it to be off-centre, so basically you get hot or hot regardless of where the heater control is set to. There are some pictures and things in teh archives if you search. Have fun Rich...
Hello all
1) Heat soak / “cooling” system
I expected heat soak in the car, but even with the roof off, things can be a bit sweaty in this weather! I’ve read the manual about the cooling system, hear that the later griff 500 has an extra cooling fan (for the engine or cabin??) and have messed with the dials but just get hot air in my face! So far it seems the only way to maintain a reasonable temp’ is to have the window open/take the roof off and turn off all the vents/fans. Can someone advise on the best setup for all those dials to maintain cool,

The control for this mysterious cold air vent is allegedly under the right hand side of the steering wheel, but hey, who needs this when you have one on the other side the switches the dash lights on and off!!! Wahay... hours of endless fun
So where's your boot release then? You mean you've got THREE buttons!! That's plain greedy.
