I've just fitted my new circuit board for the control panel. It's brand new from TVR, I've put all new LEDs (apart from the triangular ones which are on order) in and it still doesn't work. The fans are on continuously, there's a knocking noise from the passenger footwell, the heater motor will only stop at one position. The only thing that's different is the pots, these aren't the standard ALPS ones but are 10k linear as tested by a chap in Maplins who said they'd be fine. Has any one else had this prob? Any ideas on what to look at/replace next?

Does it make any difference if you unplug the board altogether?

If I unplug the board the controls won't work. I think the heater control is stuck open so it pumps out hot air. That's what I'm trying to stop. Also the fans won't work which I'm trying to get going in this hot weather.

Don't think I can offer much, but I'll try and describe what I've heard from the garage.

I believe the little motors for the controls can go past the ends of the movement and therefore get stuck. One of mine, the hot cold, has always had a mind of it's own but has been known to stick for mechanical rather than electrical reasons.

As if I have any idea what I'm talking about...waffle, waffle...
