ummmmmmm... previous owner has disconnected all wires on fuel sender unit from my 94 Griff 500. (Whilst fitting the little carpet panel back over the fuel tank I guess !). I checked the bible and it said there should be green and black stripe wire and an black earth.
So I have found both, but also Blue with green stripe, and black with red stripe ! So 4 wires with female connectors spare but only three male connectors on the sender unit ! (2 of which have been broken off)
Cant make any sense of this (probably because I am crap with electrics) - anyone got any ideas I can try out ?
Thanks

It is more than likely the two as said in Bible, mine are the same.
I also have the two extra/spare wires, Have seen something about these in this Forum if u do a search u might find more info on them.

On my car (94 Chim) the connections are
Blue to the passenger side spade
Black with Red trace to the middle spade
Green with Black trace to the driver side spade.
The solid Black (earth) is connected to one of the sender unit fixing bolts.
Hope this helps.
