well Im a glutton for punishment , went and took the dam thing out the garage again , should have known better! after the idler pulley came loose on the shaft and tried to work its way through the swirl tank. I filled a new assembly from TVR power checked the alignment everything ok off we went a bit of power and guess what yes the complete shaft with bearing decided to part company from the housing. There is no retaining circlip on this bearing so nothing to hold it in apart from the interference fit in the housing. My question is does this happen a lot is there some cure apart from my remedy of centre punching the housing.
Its had new belt tentioner new bottom pulley that parted company with the crankshaft new water pump , lesson here beware putting a hot cam remapped chip air intake upgrades a lot of the bolt on components can't handle 370 HP
