Simpo's with cats & wooden dash & slightly darker interior....

That's a cracking idea. Simpo's car wouldn't smell so bad then

It's true, Marlon's car doesn't smell. But only because it's currently in a number of carrier bags

Exterior - As is now

Interior - As is now + roll bar in black. Plus a few changes to the dials so they were mechanical rather than electric for oil pressure/temp etc, and full harnesses

Engine - John Eales Rover V8 endurance race spec'd engine producing around 450 bhp, but usuable regularly. Torque would be provided throughout the range without too wild a cam profile to make it driveable at Tesco's

Suspension - Total rework incl. - spec'd dampers rather than off the shelf, probably Ohlins units with a variety of adj. Spec'd springs and re-bushed throughout with nylon/bearings dependant on ride quality. ARB would be reworked and adjustable to suit suspension.

Steering - New race rack with higher gearing, although not too high.

Brakes - AJP or Brembo brakes specced for the car. Probably be 4 pot calipers in the fronts with larger disks and similar in the rear.

Exhaust - Spec'd by the engine providing a decatted exhaust yet still maintaining back pressure. Manifolds would be tuned for the torque curve req. along with the induction system (space allowing)

Cooling - Would need a lot so alloy rad and uprated fans.

Plus of course I need a pop out drinks holder, somewhere for my jacket to hang up an a flower pot like in the beetle

Maybe one day ......

Saw your dash, it looks excellent, so now I've got one on order. Did you fit it yourself, if so any tips?

Happy with my Griff as it is (now it's finally sorted). Got all the upgrades I wanted (see profile) and it goes like a bat out of hell.
A different body color would be perfect, something like Iced Titanium, Red Bull blue or reflex Black/purple maybe. Nicer carpets would be nice as well.

20,000 miles in 10 months ... not bad I reckon considering the mileage ! (still on 1/2 litre to 1000 miles)

Will be off to Racing Green tonight to pick it up after its latest necessity for attention. Only took 'em an hour as I was able to tell what was wrong, just couldn't be arsed to do it myself though !

Not particulary bothered about the colour, but prefer dark with cream or grey interior (full hide), PAS,
500 engine and big brakes. will also need one of those gadgets to detect speed traps. Recomendations for good solicitor, as sure my prisitne licence will not last long.
Hoping to join you all before the year end.
anyone know of a good one for sale?

Ding

Fred, I'll let you have a go in my 500 with all the goodies one of these days. Although it doesn't reach 450 bhp, you'll probably conclude you don't need a Beermeister engine.
