I’ve decided to put a fan override and a brake override switch in me 1992 Griff.
Planning to put both in the steering shroud if I can.
Anyone know the current rating of these two circuits ?

Fans on all the time - that's the point !(most Griffs have them fitted by their owners)
Brakes on all the time - no, just ensures more chance the back not getting smacked when I'm being tail kissed by the pre 25's who think they stand a chance.

I find people hang on to the back, I think they like to noise the 4.3 makes. Maybe I should get a nice quiet 5 litre.

I would if I was you, coz I don't have anyone hanging onto my back, probably due to the 5 litre's superior performance.

I think when you cooling system is ok you don't need an override switch. The only mod i have is the 2 speed fan mod from David Modwise, and i didn't have problems before i installed that. I returned last month from a journey through the Alps and Dolomites in temps of 40 celcius and over that. No problem whit the cooling, sat in a traffic jam for over an hour, no problems. So i do believe that instead of fitting an override switch you should make sure your system is working the way it should, you don't need one then.

Fan circuit is protected by a 40amp fuse on mine but it got the twin fan setup. I'm not sure if the otter switch actually switches this current, I'll try and look at the bible later but if it does then you'd have to make sure you can switch 40amps without melting anything !

the otter operates th relays, so you can piggy back the connectors to a switch inside
