sure, hot and high will equal poor performance. Low and cold will give you improved perfomance due denser air. I am sat in Johannesburg at 5,500 ft at the moment and this has significant effects on performance, especially the aeroplanes (take off runs, thrust etc) Just went for a run in the gym and could only do about half what could normally do, there was i thinking it was something to do with the local wine!
