Did the whole job on my own without to much bother!!or damage to the rest of the car.The shell was painted first,then the chassis was removed and refurbed.All looks lovely now its back together.

The easiest way to do this is to raise the car 48 inches off the ground.This measurement gives good acess for the engine & gearbox removal complete.

Place the car on stands.

By placing a support through the front wheel arches its possible to support the front of the car,(this support needs to be put in after the engine & gearbox is removed of course)and needs to be supported either side of the car.Use something apropriate to support the rear of the car at the back of the wheel arches/boot floor.

Remove all chassis to body bolts/brakelines/fuel lines etc and you can replace the stands with jacks, then lower the chassis away from the body and wheel away, takes me an afternoon with this method.Reversal for refit.
