Precat Stewart warner replacem Speedo head upgrade group buy
Discussion
Hi guys,
set up a seperate thread about problems i'm having with my speedo before i read this thread!
http://www.pistonheads.com/gassing/topic.asp?t=912...
so mine (off a 1992 Griff) is at Speedy Cables now.
Although i have managed to strip the dashboard, and am confident putting it back together, my knowledge and technical ability does not stretch to fitting or replacing the existing sensor (I got my garage to confirm it was sending a signal). So i have a couple (three)of questions:
- Does the sensor still talk to the ECU even if the speedo is disconnected?
- is there an easy way to get to the sensor? (I dont have a ramp or pit)
- if the new sensor is required, is it easy to fit?
cheers

At last mines in..........looks fab, just reads wrong speed.
Now for calibration .. this is going to be fun, as no idea where sensor is, or how many magnets it has...... come to think of it, nor the diff ratio........ much brain picking will done this weekend me thinks
no worries, give me a nudge, soon sort it.Now for calibration .. this is going to be fun, as no idea where sensor is, or how many magnets it has...... come to think of it, nor the diff ratio........ much brain picking will done this weekend me thinks
