Fitted the roof lining today, just need to give the glue a chance to dry before trimming the extra material

im the master of fitting new headliners!

I expect to see no wrinkles or creases, and all the c piller cards fitted right!!

one top tip is to use a 12" section of door seal to hold the return edge of the headliner as the glue dries around any of the apertures, its light enough not to fall off, but tight enough to grip and will really snug down to give you a nice crisp returned edge.

if you do it this way, when you fit the proper seals they will go up against the headliner perfect and wont try to push it back or wrinkle it up

I reckon it will take about six hours to do one perfect

No creases anywhere to be seen. I will fit c pillar trims today & have b & a pillar trims that I am undecided about but will test fit them as well.

Just read the whole thread, Its quite a long read now. Great job, very thorough, the flip front is a nice piece of engineering> hope you get it on the road soon. You won't be short of potential buyers for this once it is completed.

Some bits are not to my personal taste, but bloody hell you can't argue with the quality of the build. You're doing a fantastic job that I'm really envious of.

Well done - I can't wait to see this car in the flesh.

Not much to show for today,

Fitted the rear screen

18.8.13.1 by russell.grant, on Flickr

Front screen was starting to delaminate but decided to have a go at fitting it anyway then replace it at a later date. Looks like im just going to have to get a replacement screen nowthough as I broke the old one fitting it frown

God I hated putting the screens into my car when I rebuilt it. The only thing that was worse was the rear windows!

Windscreen is fitted now & I stuck a clear drop glass in the drivers door as a stop gap till I get a green one. So now that the shells water tight I thought it was about time to give it a wash.

Looks dry so far inside, only issue I spotted was water got in to the nearside taillight lens.

I was expecting at least a couple of minor leaks.
