Hello,
Im currently doing up a 1982 Mini Mayfair automatic. I want to replace it with a manual 998cc engine and gear box. I live in Cornwall so i dont want to travel too far to collect it, and i have a budget of £300. Can anyone help?

If you find yourself a Manual Gearbox you may be inclined to re-use your existing Engine?
You'll need to modify the Oil pump drive end of the engine (plug and redrill feed + add Dipstick hole) - It is quite involved, but this may be cheaper than a whole new motor/box?
Also - the Auto subframe is different (wider) and you can drop a manual in with engine mount adaptors. I think Minisport do a conversion kit.

Iv got the conversion kit, and i would rather by manual gearbox and engine together
