A mad, bad Mini project
Discussion
another great episode
my only questions would be
1) why didn't you replace the rear parcel shelf (or are you going to put the massive speakers back in)
2) why don't you do your puddle welds so they are flat - it must take ages to grind all those big lumps down
3) its a real shame that you haven't got a bead roller, I think both the front bulk head and the boot floor would have looked great (and a little 'factory') if they had had some strengthening ribs rolled into them
really loving this project!

1) The parcel shelf was just rust free enough to keep. Plus there will be speakers going in as we both love some banging tunes. It won't look like it does now though, have no fear.
2) The difficulty in welding 2 different thicknesses together mean it's safer and faster just to get on with it.
3) We do have a bead roller, but as everything is bespoke and we don't know exactly where we're going to have to cut more holes in stuff, it seemed silly to put them in only to have to cut through them later on.
Benters + Prideaux
Radiator placement. Ha! The number one question we get asked. You'll just have to wait and see. Won't be too long now though....
Thanks everyone for the fantastic comments and your continued support!

2) you must have a serious case of 'vibration white upper body' by the time you have ground them all down! - I fricking hate grinding welds down!
3) fair point, but I had just assumed that you knew exactly where everything was going, though I suppose you will be able to do it on the next one (lol!)
