A mad, bad Mini project
Discussion
absolutely amazing fabrication work, and that body shell spit is fantastic
I'm still intrigued as to what kind of arches are going to end up on it with the current track, as the front wheels will need quite a bit of room for the ark they are going to steer in
Keep up the good work though chaps, awe inspiring as always

Scranny,
We're hoping to have it rolling by Christmas and then a full strip down, shell dip and paint, clean and paint everything then finished by the spring ready for shows!
I feel like this post needs highlighting, nearly three years on! We're hoping to have it rolling by Christmas and then a full strip down, shell dip and paint, clean and paint everything then finished by the spring ready for shows!
On the one hand - GET ON WITH IT! On the other, how will we get our fix when they do eventually finish?
I'm a patron, they sent us an email recently saying that they want Nik to go full-time on this stuff, if they can get a bit more financial support. They have "at least two more" similar-ish projects planned after Binky.
I'm hoping one is a v10 BMW 2002. Or a Meteor-powered 1930's Bentley.
If you like it, how about signing up?

They may be better found by folk/ get more money if they're repeated regularly through this thread.
I'll contribute, for sure.
I'd quite like them to do something mid-engine, a small hatch a la Renault 5 Turbo 2, please.
Sure

I think a v8 from the e92 m3 with a Boxster transaxle in the back of an Elise would be interesting...

Have you followed the V10 from the e60 build thread? Norwegian bloke - cross posted in the Lotus forums on here
V8 just wouldn't do it for me anymore, after seeing that! However, that V8 in the back of something like a 205 GTi - mental!
