That mini van was a drag car, the chap loved it and was addicited to it but reckoned it cost £4K to run for the average drag weekend!

Chevy V8's in Mini's are very common on the Autograss circuit..

There are all sorts of crazy mad-max-esque machinery around autograssing.. Mid engined cosworth powered rover 100 spitting 6 foot flames on over-run anyone??

That one was nice until, during a BIG slide on the penultimate corner the front drivers-side wheel dug in.. and the car took off..

and lo it was bent..

anyone thought about getting a lingenfelter 'vette engine (750bhp) and whacking that in,having it bolted to a zr1 'box and then supercharging it??

i wouldnt even like to guess at the amount of bhp and the torque you'd get from that!!

(i wonder if it would be possible to get lingenfelter and calloway to get together and build a quad turbocharged/supercharged vette engine????.....)

I reckon anything less than 4wd is a waste of torque. Here's the plan, 2 princess gearboxes, 4 TVR heads, 2 rover 4L V8's. Build a V8 Twinny. It would sound insane, go like buggery and look crap because it would have to be in a clubby shell. I am building a "Twinnysprint" and if I had lots of money and no brain. I would build one with 2 V8s. It would be the ultimate. Someone do it please!
