No on the website yet, don't think any numbers have been published - I assume torque will be limited by gearbox capacity.
Thanks Trommel, does that mean they have finally "cracked" the ecu, or is it a piggy back. Will give them a call tomorrow regardless.JE blog said:
Now you can have your 4.4 litre TDV8 made even more powerful and, especially, torquey

You'd expect the rating to be a conservative, worst-case scenario thing (in the same way that a remap doesn't necessarily blow the engine to bits).
Something that's been rattling about my noggin since I first heard the fact that VW had to electronically limit their V10 TDi because the 'box wasn't up to taking the peak torque. We must be approaching physical limits now with these big diesels. Also, I'm fairly certain that the current crop of cars with fly-by-wire throttles, ostensibly for enhanced functionality ("learns your driving style sir") and safety ("part of the traction control system") is actually an attempt to mitigage against peak torque delivery.
Just been to JE Engineering today and had my 4.4TDV8 remapped to 840nm torques. It is simply brilliant. Totally transformed the car and has made it feel so much more responsive than standard. It went like the clappers before and now it goes like the clappers with its pants on fire! Money very well spent. Thanks to the team up there-really nice people too. SS
