3 months and counting waiting for a Discovery 3 key!!

As the title says, we lost a key and ordered a new one, that was just over three months ago now.
The story I'm being told is the manufacturing of keys has been outsourced to India and delays are all over.
They cited a story of some chap with Range Rover who can't drive his car and is a loaner Freelander for a month now.

Has this happened to anyone else or can anyone suggest a quicker way to get a coded key??

(should point out I'm in Sydney however LR Australia Air Freight weekly items like this)

No, how do I go about doing this?
Do i need to obtain and then quote LR Australia's order number?

Or can I give my vehicles VIN and just order direct?

Getting serous now as my alarm fob has packed in too...

Dunno about that but if it were me, I'd give LRA a shout. Firstly confirm what you've been told to see if your dealer is being straight with you and then see what options you have of getting anything sooner.

If no joy there, give LR UK customer services a shout & see what they say (get the details off Landrover.com).

It might be worth dropping in on aulro.com & disco3.co.uk for a quick search there too.
