Land Rover spares, have they changed post Tata?

Long time owner of LR products and currently on my 4th airbag module (sits in behind the wheel) in 14 months. The Indi I go to says this particular part is failing often and it's due to the spare being made in India and not China. He showed me the injection moulding case and sure enough it did say Made in India but it may have always been like that, I wouldn't know. Anyhow this mechanic says a lot of the oem parts are taking longer and have poor QC.

Just wondering if that's actually true eg Tata has switched some parts to their own factories or suppliers??
