100SRV I love the fact that you use a bowler as a daily driver! I remember seeing it on other forums a few times before.
A few years ago I was looking at a 200tdi tomcat for sale that had a load of sound deadening fitted, comfy seats, stereo etc as a sort of road going version but didn't have the money at the time!

Hi Pippage .. I like those wheels .. what are they and the tyres and where did you get them from. Do they work OK onroad/ offroad?
They're from Twisted, tyres are Cooper Zeon LTZ 285 60 18. Good on road, refined and grippy. Ashamed to say they've not been really tested off road yet.Hi,
thanks for the compliments, Flashman, CFNteabag, stephen-q7iik
Regular use keeps it healthy, it had a holiday in France a couple of years back, over a 1000 miles in a couple of weeks. We didn't find as many green lanes as hoped but it was fun nonetheless.
Idea when I built it was to keep it discreet as I use it for green laning - I'm not a fan of using a Baja 1000 or challenge refugee for laning and most people think it is just a scruffy, slightly wonky ninety.

Here's mine, he's called Bluey our 200Tdi 110 Defender. I rebuilt a farm 110 pick-up into our expedition spec hard top to live out of for 6 months as we travelled across Australia.
I spent 2 years rebuilding him from the ground up then 3 years kitting out and perfecting the camping side of him. Originally the idea was to drive from England to Oz and so he was designed to be self sufficient for long periods of time. This idea was scuppered when it became apparent that we would have to accommodate another small person and the financial crisis hit and the funds for the trip were severely cut!
So as we three spent a month travelling first class (except Poland!!) around Europe by train Bluey was shipped directly to Oz (where I was emigrating to and my wife returning to). Once Bluey negotiated through customs and quarantine we spent a few brilliant months travelling from Fremantle WA to Dubbo NSW.
In short term (1 to 2 days) camping set up
Long term camping (>3 days)
Fisheries Track WA
The trip reignited my childhood love of the beach!
The Rock!
Startish of the Central Highway
Another day in the office
Quite literally in the middle of nowhere! I can't describe the worry every time I switched off the engine in the middle of a desert, the relief when it started again! I rebuilt everything - the only thing not touched was the short engine.
Len Beadell is one of my heroes. This is at Giles Weather station, the remotest weather station in Oz

You lucky lucky bd rich_s! They are my favourite of all the defenders and will be my first purchase when I win the lottery! My old boss had one that he offered to sell to me for £12000 in 2007 letting me pay it back each week out of my wages. I would have bitten his had off but I knew I was in the process of joining the army and hadnt told him yet!
