At least 15 years stored in a dusty barn but she's now out in the sun again. Fresh petrol, play with the fuel pump, tickle with the carburettor but most importantly firm but friendly persuasion to the clutch and she drove out the barn. Happy days.

What's the spec? & what's being done?
Mostly Stock.

It Started life in the I.o.M and has under 100k on the clock.

Chassis and shell are original as are the axles. No fancy diffs or shafts.

Gearbox is a freshly built R380 from Ashcrofts mated to a 1.4:1 LT230 transfer box.

It's running a BMW M52 2.8i 6 cyl motor putting out approx 200hp.

The fuel system is a design of my own, twin red top facets pulling from the tank and delivering to a swirl pot. Twin Bosch 044 pumps provide the high pressure feed to the fuel rail. All plumbing is to FIA T2 spec.

Seats are Motordrive, Harnesses by Sabelt.

Have you seen LandyPhil's thread about his Series 3 rally car?

Interesting choice, do you know if it's a common conversion? (I know SA got Defenders with the same engine.)

I've heard of one or two doing it. I studied the parts book, the engine mounts needed fabricating.

I had a custom gearbox built. But the next one I do won't need a custom box.

Lovely.

The patina of the other side of the furthest hanger better suits the old Landy though wink

That's it, very impressive buildings especially considering their age. A mobile welder mate had to do some welding on them standing on the wooden gantries inside, said you could see the woodworm and hear it all creaking. Bit worrying up at that height!
