"Stage 1" in this context does not relate to the 109" with V8, but to the level the head has been modified 'tuned' in terms of performance improvement. Especially since vjj mentions it in the same sentence with a Kent cam, a modified camshaft also for performance improvement.
Yes, which is why I said my bad. I simply misread it, while scrolling. And thought it was a Stage 1 Land Rover with a kent cam.vjj said:
I started this thread so long ago
I am chuffed it is still going
Anyway - here is our latest build - for a Swiss client
Lovely little fully balanced V8 with Stage 1 heads and Kent H180 camshaft I am chuffed it is still going
Anyway - here is our latest build - for a Swiss client
Now that is lovely! (not sure why all of your pics didn't come out in the original post though, so i added them for you!)

A serious question - that floor inside the cab. How is that going to fare? Mine has hardly any paint left on it.

It is currently getting the questionable accessories removed. I've decided to keep the roof lights and wire them up properly as they aren't connected to anything at the moment. The LED headlights are an acquired taste and are going and being replaced with WIPAC Crystal H4 units. The position lamps now all match - they were a mixture of RDX LED lights and normal bulbs.
It needs a good service and then it can go for MOT.

Picked this bad boy up at the weekend. It's only broken down twice so far. (Starter motor and battery)
Replacing the 2.5td with a 300tdi soon so it actually goes above 50mph. It's a bit of a culture shock after my navara aventura but I wouldn't swap back!

Funny gearing or a knackered engine? Crap as the 19J is, even the grotty one I had could be wound up to about ~75 and 65 was a relaxed cruise(LR standard issue deafening noise, vibration and wobbly steering-induced fear not withstanding).I know the boys on 35s wont go above 55ish

I've now painted the front grills in 2k satin black and fitted clear front side lights and indicators. I'm not going for the 'pretending to be a new model' look. I just wanted to freshen it up a little as it was looking faded and tired. I agree with the comment made earlier about led headlights.
There's also considerably more mud on it than in the last picture after a little play round our field.

I don't know enough about Defender addenda (ha!), but I do know that looks superb if for nothing else the setting. Proper Landie.
I wouldn't have minded the LEDs so much if they didn't have the daft corona rings that lit it up like Blackpool and if they had been wired in properly other than the abortion of crimp connectors and scotchlocks. The ones fitted must have been poor quality ones too as the LED drivers caused havoc with the radio reception. Our Land Rover One Ten - recently featured in the PH Carpool as well: http://www.pistonheads.com/regulars/ph-carpool/lan...
Good to see some love for the 110 Station Wagons!
I bought this 110" in April of this year, it is a 300TDi in good condition but not too nice to take on adventures in the scenery.
Here is is on holiday in Brittany exploring a green lane:
A nice versatile truck with plenty of life left in it, presently the odometer reads 254000 miles, I'd like to get it to 500000. I was surprised by how good the very mild AT tyres are off tarmac, certainly no match for proper mud tyres but more than capable on the sort of lanes I take this 110 when solo exploring.
