Mine says up just fine lol, I have the remote to lower it.
I can play this game too! My air is fully working and means even with a 2" lift and 265/75r16 tyres it can still fit in the garage smile

Stupid question (And, yes, I could just read the manual...) but how do you do that? Not that I got stuck under a height restriction due to the roof bars or anything nonowhistle

I found one on eBay, a guy had bought one but never used it. I paid £62 if you can find one make sure you get all the codes to programme to the car.

Another D2 - an '04 ES Premium. Completely standard, though seemingly with the whole accessories catalogue thrown at it, for now... evil

Look! What's that behind you? *quickly reaches for toolkit*

In all seriousness though - thanks, now I know which models to keep an eye out for in breaker's yards (like hell am I paying £350 for a remanufactured lever)

As much as I would love to be able to spend that much on one part of my land rover, with three kids and a wife there is no chance!

No worries. - I haven't forgotten about organising a green laning trip either...I just don't want to run the risk of damage / more bills before I go to Le Mans because I intend to go in the Discovery. thumbup

That's all right, I'm up to my eyeballs with stuff to do before LM anyway.....

I would suggest you came to the massive annual Land rover gathering in Bala this summer, but sadly this will be the first time in ages I won't be able to go there myself. I'm sure we can arrange something at some point though!

Thank you, have seen that but it's a bit expensive for one needing work and it's about as far away from me as it possibly can be!

Thanks Olf, I know how good they are, this is our second HSE Lux after our 2012 model got stolen in March.

We used to get an average of 32 mpg out of our previous vehicle, and now this one has stop start too, so that should make it better!

Thing is it's kind of a pain, as it comes on all the time and you have to manually switch it off!

You can use the lever set up from a disco one too if you fancy. There getting rarer now too though unfortunately.

They are a bit of a faff to make them fit though, and the design of the mechanism is far inferior - being thrust rods and pivoted linkages, it easily fills with mud and seizes, or goes stiff if left unused. The D2 design of a single push-pull cable is far more reliable and robust.

The answer to that is to make sure your D2 gets plenty of low-range and diff-lock action!
