I've always liked yours - if I was building one it would be a carbon copy
What have you done to it?
Hi,What have you done to it?
thank you!
In turn I based my build on the white LRO project Bowler 88" in LRO magazine and a blue 88" course zero car I saw at the 1997 Welsh Hill-rally.
I solved a major tin-worm problem then shot-blasted the skeleton which is now painted grey. This makes it easier to see leaks and makes it much easier to see stuff when working underneath, (almost as though it is illuminated)!
I designed and built a new electrical system (my profession).
I designed and built a wew instrument pack (custom by me).
I dropped the forty-year-old classic cluster and the UV damaged plastic shattered. With it already being bin-fodder I cut the warning lamp assembly out and fitted it into a laser-cut panel I designed.
The multi-gauge is a from a series 3 Land Rover with charge warning lamp segment replaced by and oil pressure gauge segment. The speedometer is VDO electronic so I can change calibration if I use different sized tyres.
There is also a new footwell structure and panels, new gearbox tunnel panels, improved rear stowage locker.
A smaller air box (really neat design and magic fabrication by a friend) results in re-routed induction plumbing which cuts down heat soak.
Other minor stuff includes improvements to the axles.

Yes, although the brakes don't work at the moment! It's only done 50,028 miles with one previous owner and is totally original. Dry stored for the last 13 years.
If you ever repaint that I'll come and find you and kill you to death with a blunt spoon. Looks lovely. Leave that dust around the grill too.
Earning its keep pulling something to its destruction;

Sliders have been on since January.
Oh, OK. So how many times have they prevented damage so far?A.J.M said:
In talks with Prospeed about a getting a set of theirs along with underbody protection.
That's next years upgrades.
Sadly, my "upgrade" fund keeps getting raided for repairs / preventive maintenance. I want the foundations to be solid first. That's next years upgrades.

First 4x4.
A '97 4.0SE P38.
Absolute bargain, came with 11 months MOT, and 5 18" alloys with new General Grabber AT2's.
I figured I needed a winter V8 as the TVR doesn't get used much in winter, and seeing as I have a Hybrid Co. Car I need to make sure I'm using my fair amount of carbons
